USB Connection
This option is just applicable for Windows operating systems. Apple has limitations in communicating with USB ports. So, if you have an Android device, this step is for you.
In the beginning, you must connect your Android phone to the computer using a USB cable. You might require installing some requisite drivers for your PC. However, it won’t be a problem if you have that already installed.
Now, debug your USB by setting up your developer options on your phone. As a result, your PC will recognize your Android device as an independent external device just like a microphone.
After you have set up WO Mic on your smartphone, click on the following settings: “settings cog” > “Transport” > “USB”. Your phone is almost ready. Now, you can go back to the main application interface and click on the play button for recording.
Bluetooth Connection
Configuring through Bluetooth works well for both Android and iOS devices. First, you have to switch on the Bluetooth on both of your devices. Pair both devices and follow a set of instructions showcased on the screen.

Select the Bluetooth option as well for your smartphone WO Mic app. Follow these guidelines: “settings cog” > “Transport” > “Bluetooth”. After this, your phone will be ready to use as an external device as a microphone.
Wi-Fi Connection

Just like the previous option settings, we will do the same for Wi-Fi connection as well. However, you have to turn on Wi-Fi for both of the devices. They should be connected to the same Wireless network.
Now go to your WO Mic application on your PC and connect to Wi-Fi. At the same time, check on the following instructions of your smartphone: “settings cog” > “Transport” > “Wi-Fi”. Now, go back to the main interface and click on the play button to confirm your phone’s external use.
In the Windows WO Mic application, you have to type the IP address in the “Server IP Address” field. Hit OK and you are good to go!
Wi-Fi Direct Connection
The first thing you need to do is to switch on your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect your computer to the same Wi-Fi and toggle the settings.
So, this time we will select the “Wi-Fi Direct” option on the PC. Simultaneously, your smartphone will follow this direction: “settings cog” > “Transport” > “Wi-Fi Direct”. Get back to the main interface and test the recording just like before. Make sure that “192.168.43.1” is set as the “Soft AP IP Address” in your windows application. Click OK and that’s how to use a phone as a microphone.
