How to Connect Alexa to Bluetooth Speaker

If you have started to use Alexa then sometimes you might face a problem which is hearing Alexa’s voice from a distance. Now you can connect Alexa to your Bluetooth Speaker and take the speaker with you. But there are few steps to follow if you want to make a connection between Alexa and your Bluetooth speaker. Let’s follow these steps.

Step 1

First of all, you need to download an app which is called Amazon Alexa App. This app is free for iOS and Android users. You can also download this app for your desktop or Laptop. Even if you have Amazon’s tablet you can find the application from Fire OS.

After downloading the app to your specific device then open it and sign up for an account. You don’t need Amazon Prime to start Alexa. After signing up for the account, click on the Hamburger Menu. It will be on the lower right side. After clicking another screen will pop up that says ‘Add a Device’. You need to click on that option. Next, you need to tap on Amazon Echo and connect Alexa with your App.

Step 2

Now, make sure your Wi-Fi connection is on. Back in Alexa app, there should be an option that shows all the Wi-Fi connections around it. Just click on the Wi-Fi network that is yours. Now you are connected to your network.

Step 3

Next, go back to your Alexa App. You will see an icon that looks like a house. This usually stays on the bottom right corner of the screen. You need to click on the house icon which will take you to the Devices Menu. If you are not still connected to your Alexa select the device you want to connect. After making a connection between your Alexa App and Alexa then you can move to the next step.

Step 4

Now, you can see Bluetooth Devices on the next menu. Select the Bluetooth Devices. Side by side make sure your Bluetooth speaker is on and it is in pairing mode. On the Alexa app go to the list of Bluetooth Devices. In the list, you will see the name of your Bluetooth speaker.

Just tap on the name of your Bluetooth device. It will start pairing with your Bluetooth device. Now you may not know the name of your Bluetooth Speaker. Just check the model number of your speaker. Usually, the model number is the name in the Bluetooth menu. After pairing Alexa with your Bluetooth speaker you should be able to listen to the music of Alexa via Bluetooth speaker.

You don’t need any other setup in the process.
